Dead Before Dawn (2025) – The Price of Forgotten Traditions The film takes place in an isolated farm in Podlasie, where time seems to stand still. A group of young people arrives to find traces of a folklorist who disappeared years ago. However, their visit coincides with the night of the solstice, during which – according to local legends – the boundary between the world of the living and the dead becomes dangerously thin. The locals remain silent, and the forest surrounding the property begins to take on a life of its own, ominously. When one of the expedition members disappears without a trace, the others must confront not only a flesh-and-blood murderer but also forces that cannot be rationally explained. It is a dense, oppressive thriller that draws heavily from Slavic mythology, transforming pastoral landscapes into the setting of the worst nightmare.
