The weather presenter (Emily Blunt) sparks panic and ignites a wave of speculation after suddenly speaking in a mysterious alien language during a live broadcast. Speculations about contact with extraterrestrial beings begin to arise. Cybersecurity analyst Daniel (Josh O'Connor) realizes that he is likely the only person who, although he doesn't know how, understands this language and can translate it into English. He believes humanity has the right to know the truth, so he decides to make the aliens' message public. This decision leads him into conflict with the government side, represented by Agent Scanlon (Colin Firth), who will stop at nothing to prevent the truth from being revealed.
