Underwater (2020)

11 kilometers beneath the ocean's surface, something has awakened... The crew of the Kepler mining station knew from the start that their mission would be difficult: thirty days in the narrow corridors and cramped cabins of an underwater platform built to withstand the incredible pressure of drilling at the ocean floor. But after a devastating earthquake, hell breaks loose. Sirens wail around them, torrents of water explode through the reinforced concrete structure with unimaginable force, tearing it apart in seconds. Thanks to her quick thinking and innate resourcefulness, engineer Norah Price manages, at great cost, to save herself and prevent an inevitable catastrophe. With a damaged lifeboat and no way to send a distress signal, the future looks bleak for Norah and the other survivors. Both she and the remaining crew – Captain Lucien, marine biology student Emily, operations expert Smith, systems manager Rodrigo, and the know-it-all Paul – see no good solution. Their only chance of survival is to traverse the ocean floor towards a distant, abandoned vehicle, the Roebuck, hoping its communication equipment is still operational and that there are enough escape pods left to take them all to safety. But their perilous journey becomes even more treacherous when they begin to suspect they are not alone in the water. Something is following them, ready to strike at any moment. Caught in a dangerous game of cat and mouse with a mysterious predator, Norah and the remaining crew members race against time and must battle themselves if they want to return to the surface alive.
